STORY: Ladies and Gentlemen, Malcolm Alvand does not give a fuck and does not have any time for your shit.
Last time anyone recons they saw him completely sober was when he enlisted for the first drafts of the Pokemon-Human Integration Program, but nobody is really sure. He was assigned a Mudkip as his partner and started testing for science. Curiously, his alcohol tolerance threshold has been growing since.
The fact his drunk ass wasn't booted from the Army yet usually baffles newcomers, at least until their first training, as his Swampert, Sarge, turned out to be a formidable Drill Sergeant. You know, for a giant blue amphibian.
Since Sarge needs an official human partner and for some reason refuses to cooperate with anyone but Malcolm, they just let him stay.

ROUND 3: After the defection of Gen. Jane Delancy and Minister Hayha the Kanto Military superiors have called in for additional officers to handle the confused recruits. Malcolm was brought in as a full-time Sergeant, ready, if slightly reluctant about it, to lead the soldiers into the Ecruteak Tower Siege and sporting his full uniform. He will be using Sarge in Round 3.
He finds the Rogue ideals laughable, but the defection of Jane Delancy and Hannah Campbell has struck him as unexpected and, ultimately, left him highly disappointed in both of the former Kantoans, so he's rather bitter about the whole Rogue turnabout.

PERSONALITY: Stubborn, painfully honest, unamused, complaining, vulgar, opinionated and all this crowned with the greatest indifference to your well-being. He's practically impossible to intimidate, charm, impress or persuade to anything he doesn't want to do and only responds to official orders from the higher-ups. He never addresses people by their names, using nicknames instead, and will headbutt anyone who tries to be a wise guy with him.
He's rather introverted and prefers the company of Sarge to that of other people, if at all.

TRIVIA:
- Used to be a tattooist before he enlisted. If you want a bitching tattoo and aren't afraid of drunks with needles, YOU KNOW WHO TO ASK.
- Disappears for varied periods of time and then just reappears in camp as if nothing happened. Hardly remembers anything from his disappearance.
- Hardly remember anything at all, actually.
- Does, however, seem to remember things you'd rather he didn't.
- Malcolm's been around for quite some time; nobody really pays attention to his drunk ass and it turns out he's actually seen his fair share of things. With the right approach his seemingly foggy memory can become unexpectedly clear.

RUMORS AND MYTHS:

- His blood is, at this point, pure alcohol. Someone said they saw a Zubat get drunk from biting him.
- He manages to stay fit despite nobody ever really seeing him do anything but drink and sleep.
- He can sharpen knives against his stubble.
- He headbutted an enemy Salamance into submission.
- He can rival Roy Rommel in table flipping.

PERSONALITY: Sarge is a pretty hard and serious guy, having next to zero nonsense tolerance, ESPECIALLY when it comes to his trainees. He's friendly as long as you don't screw up. He's famous for Hydro-Pumping misbehaving recruits.

BACKSTORY: Sarge was raised along a large group of other pokemon for future military use, where he learned all about military tactics from the recently formed tamers battalion. A while before the war began, Sarge and his trainer were assigned for boot duties. Since there wasn't much going on, and being a really lazy guy, Malcolm Alvand spent most of his days drinking and sleeping. Sarge's sense of duty wouldn't allow for this kind of behavior, but since Malcolm was still his superior, the only thing he could do was train the new recruits as best as he could without much help from his owner (who decides just being there and screaming at people is good enough).

HANNAH
Gyarados | Calm | Intimidate | Female

MOVES: Flail | Bulldoze | Rain Dance | Roar

PERSONALITY: Hannah is an older and, consequently, rather tame Gyarados, but don't let her her passive nature fool you into lowering your guard. She does not like being bothered and will lash out in warning if provoked and out in the battlefield she's just as dangerous as any Gyarados, if not even slightly more, as her brutal actions are more then often a result of an unexpected for her species cunning.

BACKSTORY: A Gyarados caught in the wild and assigned for handing out to recruits on account of her compatible, for her species, nature, Hannah was picked up by Malcolm in place of an Onyx he was previously suggested to add to his team.
Malcolm named his new team member after Hannah Campbell, much to the scientist's dismay and his great amusement.
